Germain Automatic timepiece

Our Heritage

A Legacy
Written in
Precision

Founded in the Jura mountains of Switzerland, Maison Germain has spent nearly two centuries perfecting the marriage of mechanical ingenuity and aesthetic restraint. Our founders believed that a truly exceptional timepiece should be felt before it is seen — a whisper of weight on the wrist, a silence that speaks of precision.

Today, fewer than forty artisans work within our atelier. Each one carries forward the techniques passed down through generations — hand-engraving, anglage, and the patient art of adjustment. We produce fewer than eight hundred timepieces each year. Not because we cannot make more, but because we will not.

Craftsmanship

Where Patience Becomes Perfection

Each calibre is assembled from hundreds of individually finished parts, requiring weeks of meticulous hand-assembly by a single master watchmaker.

Finishing

40hours

Every surface receives Geneva stripes, beveling, or mirror polish — including those hidden beneath the dial, never seen by the wearer.

Testing

1000hours

Before a Germain timepiece leaves our atelier, it endures over forty days of chronometric testing across temperature, position, and pressure variations.

“We do not make watches to tell the time. We make them to honour it.”
